Kodomo No Hi is when families celebrate the health and happiness of their kids.They all celebrate this holiday on May 5.On that day,the kids fly huge carp-kites and display warrior dolls outside. They also hang their koinboris outside their homes. The biggest carp is for the father, the second biggest is for the mother, and the others are for the children.
Hina Matsuri
Hina Matsuri is the Doll’s Festival. It is on the 3rd day of March. Girls think it is a special day. On that day, families display court dolls that have been inherited from their grandmothers. They have this celebration for their daughters to live a happy life The girls wear their best Kimonos. Then they go to their friend's houses, all the girls offer each other sweet juice drink and colored cakes which are eaten afterward . Some people believe that if they put up their doll's early, then their daughters will get married early, if not the girls won’t get married.
Setsuban means'Dividing the seasons.' They celebrate it on February 3 to announce the last day of winter. They celebrate Setsuban to bring good luck for the coming year.They throw beans out of the door and they say 'out with demons'[Oni wa soto], 'come in good luck' [Fucki wa uchi.] They eat one bean for each person's age in this holiday.
